Jewellery trends Spring 2009.
When discussing Jewellery trends, it's vital to remember that the accessories world is inexorably linked to what‚s going on with fashion designers and the catwalk looks. As always there are mega trends, and micro trends to work. Whilst two or three of the strongest trends will emerge as the mainstream key fashion looks,
the mini trends can't be dismissed. We really should begin with colour - The important colour stories for the season are..

Blacks & purples - the purple trend continues, but its lighter and less regal, while the ever popular black rocks on into late Spring, only bowing out
for Summer proper.


Coral and oranges - this warm, light colourway is where we get the first glimpses of summer 09. Bright and appealing, a soft segway into Summer.

Amazonite greens, blues and turquoise - look great as a cool spring palette. With mixed matte and shiny finishes for a beachy feel. A brown or natural material to ground the colours is a great way to do Summer blue.


As we are still in the midst of the architectural silhouette in fashion, key jewellery pieces will remain large in scale or supersized. This is good news for those of us that love colour and fun jewellery. There's something for everyone in this seasons collections.
